Average Food. Interesting Busy Place..
I have to agree that it is not what it was in the beginning. Neither am I! But, bad food is bad food in a dump or in a corporate restaurant. Over cooked is inexcusable. Sea Food is a delicate item. Lighten up guys.
Don't go here expecting S. La. as it is not! Go if you want some sauced dishes and a little bit of gloss.
Or drive to New Orleans.

Not a Chain and Not CAJUN!.
As a local, I can attest to the many changes Ralph & Kacoo's has gone through. There are only three restaurants and a new one in Texas. That hardly qualifies as a chain. Secondly, Ralph & Kacoo's advertises itself as a SEAFOOD restaurant, not Cajun. If you want Cajun, go to south Louisiana. The service is always very good. The food is even better. Sure, they might have an off night now and then, but what restaurant does not. Of my last 5 visits (once a week), I have not had a bad experience. Give Ralph & Kacoo's a try-I think you will like it!

Average.
We went to this restaurant on a trip to Shreveport. We were looking for a good Cajun place. Unfortunately, it was only average. The food wasn't spiced especially well, and it was bland and overcooked. It's a chain (in Louisiana) and it shows.
